BASEBALL layout

There's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than watching my grandson Ian age 5 yrs playing baseball.  This is such a magical age! I'm known as the Paparazzi Grandma.  They don't realize I have to take a gazillion pictures to make sure one or two turn out!  LOL  Here is page 1 of a two page baseball layout.

Page 2 of 2 page layout.  Ian is the spitting image of my son Jonathan at this age!  My daughter in law Ashley keeps me in the loop of the grandchildren's sports schedule.  Thank you Ashley!!! I have to remember my manners and not cheer so loud!  I have caught a few stares from the crowd!  Sometimes I just can't help myself!!!  LOL

This baseball was cut from a baseball paper.  I embellished it be sewing the stitching on the paper.  The name & number nine were cut using Cricut STREET SIGN cart.

Baseball shirt & base on bottom of shirt cut using Cricut BASEBALL solutions cart.  Baseball, bats & word "baseball" cut using Cricut SPORTS MANIA cart.  Word Millard cut using Cricut VARSITY LETTER cart.

Embellished a baseball sticker with red stitching.  Letters cut using Cricut VARSITY LETTER cart.  This cart is one of my very favorites!!!  Thanks again to Lori Apgar for pointing out how wonderful this cart is for sports layouts!!!

Baseball mitt cut using Cricut SPORTS MANIA cart.  Bat & baseball inside mitt are stickers.  Embossing folder by Tim Holtz used to give bat texture.  Inked bat using Tim Holtz Distressed Ink in color "Crushed Corduroy".  Embellished mitt by sewing around it.

Here are tools used on this project.  My dear friend Lori Apgar from Scrappin My Stress Away blogspot was destashing.  I was the lucky recipient of her Diva Spritz from Precious Treasures!  Thank you LORI!!! I need to "pay it forward" and "destash" my craft collection!!!   Notice I used the word "destash as opposed to hoarding"???  LOL  I used the Diva Spritz from Precious Treasures to pearlize the hat, shirt, stars, words on this layout.  What I learned about this spray:  Spray the paper FIRST before embossing.  Dry with heat gun.  Then emboss your paper.  I found this adorable SPORTS PHRASE embossing folder byDARICE at Manglesen's (a local independent craft store here in Omaha, NE).  I went on a road trip with my friend Janet to Lincoln, NE.  We spent hours at a wonderful store called Ben Franklin.  I found the most wonderful papers (including the baseball paper used on this layout) and ribbon.   OMG, if you live in Omaha, plan on a road trip to Lincoln, NE....and don't forget to invite me!  So many craft items not found locally can be found at this wonderful store!

I'm so blessed to live close to my grandchildren and be a part of their lives.  They have truly enriched my life and given new meaning to it!  Mom up in heaven...YOU WERE RIGHT!  There's NOTHING like grandchildren!~
