Cut 6 triangles for the Easter Banner using Cricut GypsyCricut  INDEPENDENCE DAY Cartridge used to cut triangles.

6 Triangles cut using Cricut INDEPENDENCE DAY cartridge.

FISKERS crimper used to give texture to triangle.

CRIMPING the triangles really adds dimension!

COLOR BOX Fluid Ink Pad used to ink the edges of triangles.

Choose Scallop Frame from Cricut Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge.   Notice that I used the Cricut Gypsy to "hide" the outside scallop edges.  Cut out 6 white card stock ovals to stamp images on.

Begin by wiping the white card stock with the SU Embossing Buddy.  This prevents stray embossing powder to adhere to background.  Used VersaMark ink to stamp images on white card stock.  Used heat gun to set the BLACK embossing powder on the images.

Cut 6 Scallop Oval frames from Cricut ASHLYN'S ALPHABET cartridge.

I was able to use the "inside" oval in the opposite color scalloped frame.
LIQUID PEARLS in "White Opal" dotted around frame.  LOVE how this added Simple Elegance to the oval frame!!!!

SU Embossing Buddy used to wipe white card stock BEFORE stamping image.  Heat gun used to set the Embossing Powder.
SU "STAMP-A-MA-JIG" used to line up the image on cardstock!  MUST HAVE TOOL!  LOVE IT!!!!
SU Stamp Sets used "BUNNY BUDDIES" & "SPRING GIFTS".  VersaMark used to ink images on white card stock.  SU BLACK EMBOSSING POWDER used to outline images.  The embossed images keep the water color crayons from bleeding into another part of the image.
SU WATER COLOR CRAYONS & SU BLENDER PENS.  BLENDER PENS used to blend the water color crayons on the stamped images.
Ink INSIDE & OUTSIDE of scallop frames with COLOR BOX ink pads.

SEW RIBBON by We R Memory Keepers!  SEW EASY to use!  LOVE this tool!!!

PUNCHING holes using "SEW RIBBON" tool.

Thread ribbon through holes.  Ribbon looks "SEW" Wonderful! LOL

Adhere the ovals to the banner using Dot Adhesive Runner.

Cut strips of paper in 1" by 7".  Use FISKERS Border Punch to add scallop edges.  Remember to ink the scallop edges with the COLOR BOX Fluid Chalk before adhering to the banner.

Adhere SCALLOP BORDERS to triangle using Dot Adhesive Runner.  Trim as necessary.

CELEBR8 layout

Genevieve turns 8 yrs old!

Using the GYPSY I cut out the circle using CRICUT ALL MIXED UP cartridge.

Circle removed from CRICUT cutting mat.

Outline words using marker in place of the cutting blade.  CRICUT CELEBRATIONS cartridge.  The number eight and exclamation point cut using CRICUT CAKE BASICS cartridge.

CUTTLEBUG Birthday Embossing Folder.  Black card stock embossed then sanded with black sanding block.

Pixie Pink ink from STAMPIN UP used to lightly ink the words on the black card stock.  Used TIM HOLTZ distress tool to distress the sides of the embossed cardstock.

Cut pink card stock ticket stub from SIZZIX originals.

Stamped white card stock with stamp from ADMIT IT from STAMPIN UP.  Cut white stamp ticket out and adhered to the pink card stock.

SIZZIX die used to cut out paper clip. Used home computer to print date of birthday on paper clip.

Cupcake cut using CRICUT CAKE BASICS cartridge.  Inked with Pixie Pink from STAMPIN UP.

Used RANGERS LIQUID PEARLS in petal pink to put dots on cupcake to add dimension to the frosting.  Used black gelly pen to add lines to the cupcake liner.  Seen in completed picture below.

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY GENEVIEVE!!!

HOMEMADE GLUE DOTS

Let's make some HOMEMADE GLUE DOTS and Save $$$$$.  I saw a Youtube video on making homemade glue dots and couldn't wait to try this!  I bought a bottle of  ALEENE'S TACK IT OVER & OVER for about $5.99 at Michael's craft store.  Of course I used my 40% off coupon bringing the price down to $3.54 a bottle before tax!  Squirt various sizes of glue dots onto an "empty" glue dot paper.

Aleene's glue comes out white.  You can make ANY SIZE glue dots! I like a variety of sizes.  Although I mainly use mini glue dots.  Allow the glue to dry.  Drying time will vary according to how big or thick you make your glue dots.  If I'm making a lot of glue dots I will allow them to dry over night.   I made some homemade glue dots in craft class.  At the end of the 2 hour craft class the glue dots were dry!!!

The glue dots dry CLEAR.  When the glue dots are dry I roll them up to store them.
I just LOVE Saving $$$$$!  Don't you???

WRESTLEMANIA layout

Grandma babysitting Owen & Ian while parent's visit friends new baby.

Used Gypsy to cut out image from Cricut SPORTS MANIA cartridge.

Used Black Cricut Marker to outline the image before cutting the image out.

Ticket was cut from matching paper.  Words printed using home computer.  Used Distress Ink in the Wild Honey color to ink edges of the ticket.

Used my NEW tool called SEW Easy from We R Memory Keepers!  I'm moving from "Collector of new tools" to "User of new tools"! LOL  Stitched around the 5x7 picture

Cut title from Cricut CLASSIC FONT cartridge.  Used blue marker to outline around letters.  Used Yellow Stickles to add bling to lettering.

I was on a roll!  I used my NEW tool  by We R Memory Keepers called "SEW RIBBON" to add the yellow border underneath the 5x7 picture.  Yea!  Collector is slowly turning into USER!!!

This is the SEW RIBBON "Weave" tool by We R Memory Keepers.

Stars made with Cricut STAND & SALUTE cartridge.

Border Punch used to make journaling paper look like it was taken from a spiral notebook.

I just have to SMILE when I look back at these fond memories of watching my grandsons!
